  1. Willing candidates are requested to visit and apply in the official website of Malda – www.malda.gov.in
  2. While filling up the form, candidates are requested to upload scanned copy of their recent passport coloured photograph (taken within six months) of size not exceeding 50 kb excluding upload Experience Certificates (Size Max 100kb), and keep another copy for pasting in Admit Card.
  3. Candidate are required to upload scanned original copy of all supporting documents e.g certificates of educational qualifications, marksheets, experience certificates, age-proof certificate and other relevant documents related to Other Required Qualifications.
  4. If the uploaded scanned copy of the photo, signature and other documents is not clear, then the application will be rejected.

a. Application will be invited from the candidate through online portal published in www.malda.gov.in
b. As per guideline / order vide letter Memo No.-366/MEE/Sectt, Dt: 15.03.2023 issued by the Department of Mass Education Extension & Library Services, Govt. of West Bengal following marking system will be used for the evaluation.
c. The Selection committee may apply the short-listing criteria to invite candidate to the ration of 1:7 for computer test and 1:5 for interview

a. Must have passed Higher Secondary Examination or its equivalent.
b. Possessing a Pass Certificate in Library and Information Science from Institutions as mentioned in Notification No.365/MEE/Secit. Dated-15.03.2023 of the Department of Mass Education Extension & Library Services, Govt. of West Bengal.
c. A candidate possessing Bachelor’s Degree in Library & Information Science or equivalent is also eligible to apply.
d. Basic knowledge in computer application.
e. Knowledge in Bengali.
  • Should not be less than 18 years and not more than 40 years as on 01.01.2023 Upper age limit shall be relaxable in respect of candidates in the reserved category as per the extant rules of the Government of West Bengal.
  1. Age proof (Birth Certificate/Admit Card of Madhyamik Examination/Secondary Examination).
  2. Residential proof (Voter’s Identity Card / Aadhar Card / Residential certificate issued by the MLA / MP / BDO / SDO / Pradhan / Councillor (Any one).
  3. Professional certificate, Certificate in Library and Information Science or Bachelor in Library and Information Science (BLISc) any one is mandatory.
  4. Computer Certificate from recognized Institution wherever applicable.
  5. Work Experience Certificate along with last 3 months’ salary slip as per post applied.
  1. Applications are to be submitted in online mode only in the given format.
  2. Applications received after the last date will Not be entertained. No application will be accepted in any physical form or by any other means.
  3. The qualifications prescribed in the advertisement are as per the notified recruitment rules issued by the Department of Mass Education Extension & Library Services, Govt of West Bengal.
  4. All academic and professional qualifications must have been obtained from Board/Council/ University/Institutions duly recognized by / in the State of West Bengal.
  5. The benefits of upper age concession up to 5 years are admissible only to S.C. and S.T. candidates of West Bengal and up to 3 years to OBC (category A’ & ‘B’) (non creamy layer) candidates of West Bengal The S.C., S.T. and O.B.C. candidates of other states may apply for unreserved vacancies as General candidates, Such benefits are also available up to the age of 45 years for person with Disabilities. The Ex-Serviceman will get benefit of relaxation in age as per State Govt. order / guideline.
  6. A candidate claiming to be S.C., S.T., O.B.C. (Non creamy layer), EWS or Persons with Disabilities (40% and above) must have a certificate in support of his/her claim from a competent authority of West Bengal obtained within the closing date of receipt of application and no claims in this regard will be entertained afterwards.
  7. The O.B.C. (Non creamy layer) candidates must submit their renewed/revalidated O.B.C. (Non creamy layer) certificate prior to interview and at the time of appointment.
  8. Self-attested copy of requisite certificates regarding educational qualifications, proof of age, relevant experience Certificates and other requisite documents must be uploaded in the portal along with application and be furnished in original, as and when required by the Appointing Authority
  9. If at any stage even after issue of a letter of recommendation for appointment a candidate is found ineligible in terms of the advertisement, his/her candidature will be cancelled without further reference to his/her.
  10. Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification.
  11. All information regarding recruitment to the post will be available from time to time in this website of this Office at www.malda.gov.in and the Admit card of accepted candidates will be available for downloading from this portal at a later stage. No Admit card will be sent by post or any other way. Hence candidates are requested to follow this portal.
  12. Inability to produce documents uploaded in portal for application both in original and Xerox copies (self-attested) at the time of verification will render the applicant’s ineligible for the selection and would not be allowed to appear for written examination & interview.
  13. Applicants are requested to regularly visit the district website for any subsequent information / updates in this portal.
  14. List of Qualifying candidates would also be available in the district website.
  15. Admit card for written examination, computer test and interview would be made available in the district website www.malda.gov.in and Candidates will have to download Admit Card by herself/ himself from district website.
  16. Venue for written examination and computer test will be intimated at the time of issue of admit card.
  17. No TA/DA will be paid to any candidates for appearing in the Written test / Computer Test or Interview.
  18. Admission to the examination is purely provisional basis. Candidature of any candidate shall be rejected straightway if found not eligible at any stage even after appearance at the examinations. The applicants are liable for prosecution under extant low for any wrong / fraudulent / incomplete information during application.
  1. Application will be rejected if the uploaded copy of the photograph and other relevant documents are not clear or illegible.
  2. Application shall also be liable to be cancelled if there are instances of data mismatch in the field of application form with reference to the documents submitted.
  3. Duplicate application for a single category post will be rejected.
  4. The authority reserves the right to cancel the candidature of any application at any stage of the selection process without assigning any reason.
